Trento, January 2nd, 2016

Trentino Volley is back to work in PalaTrento already in the morning of the second day of the new year. After a little more than 48 hours of rest, the Italian champions have in fact met around 9.30 am in the weight room of the plant of via Fersina to launch officially the 2016 activity.
For recovery Radostin Stoytchev and Dario Simoni planned a very busy weekend, with double sessions both on Saturday and on Sunday: usual physical session in the morning, followed in the evening by two hours of technique and tactics, useful to get immediately confident  with the fundamentals of the game and the ball. Among the first players to go back to work, the libero Massimo Colaci, leading in 2015 to as many as 83 official matches as a regular: 50 with the jersey of Trentino Volley and 33 with the one of Italy. No other player has played so many.
"It's really a high number, but it is also a privilege to have played all these matches: it means to arrive with both the jersey of Trento and of Italy almost always at the bottom of all the competitions and this isn’t absolutely a trivial goal” - explained for Trentino Volley Tv the thirty-years-old player from Puglia. -”It’s hard to pick just one of all, there were lots of memorable matches: with the Club tough, definitely Game 1 and Game 4 of the final Championship playoffs against Modena have something more than the others, and the victory against Poland for 3-1 in Tokyo worth a lot for the Italian national team, because it has given us the qualification to Rio 2016. If I went down so often in the field without major physical problems is also thanks to those who trained me, preparing myself as best as possible as well in terms of athletic: me and Martin Poeder here in Trento know each other very well, we work well together and methodically. I know what he wants from me and he knows what I can give: the ideal situation”.
"During this Christmas break we are taking advantage of the time we have to train a lot from the physical point of view in the weight room, but also without forgetting the technical part” - continued Colaci. -”We fortunately have the opportunity to train well and without the frenzy that had previously influenced our previous months with a tight schedule of games; we can’t count on a couple of players, and that's why we're trying to refine our understandings and improve aspects that were less convinced in the league. The 2016 will be full of important events, the goal is to keep winning trophies, starting from the Italian Cup and continuing with Italy and the Olympics. These are important goals but we will try in every way to bring home a medal. I would sign off on to play even 83 games in 2016...".
